Bose speaker question - sounds good some of the time, others not

Bose speaker question - sounds good some of the time, others not
I have an '01 S4 with the Bose system. My driver side speaker works fine some times and other times it's distorted. I notice it more when the car is cold, but I really can't find a perfect cause/effect. Any ideas?
