I have a 99' A6 with Bose Audio, Navigation Plus and CD box. The functionality of Nav Plus is quite limited but I really like the original Bose audio. I was wondering if it's possible to keep the Bose system and just replace the head unit with a new one. I have no idea what connections does the Navigation plus head unit have and what connections should the new unit have in order it to work. I've heard that some wires are optical and that it's not possible to install an after market unit with Bose audio. Is true or is there a way?
