Default RE: cd changer ???

Pull away the paneling on the back left-hand side of the trunk, you should see a cd changer cable if it came pre-wired for the cd changer. Not sure if the '97s came pre-wired for the cd changer or not.

If it is there, then you just need to make sure that the cd changer you get is compatible with the stock headunit. Generally, you will need to get a blitzsafe cd changer adapter to plug into the cable and run it to your changer. I know the panasonic dp-601 and dp-801 series will work with the audi headunit when using a blitsafe adapter. Nottoo sure on other brands though.
