Default CD changer (Matsushita) Adaptor lead

I have been given a Matsushita CD changer from a VW (possibly Passat) which I have been assured will work in my A6. Matsushita part number is CX-CV1820LH. VW part number is 1J6 035 111. The CD changer lead has a rectangular plug. However my A6 pre-wiring has a round plug. Can anyone confirm if this changer will even work in my A6 (which has a Concert head unit)? If it will does anyone know if there is an adaptor I can buy which will allow me to use this unit? Failing this could anyone help me with the plug pinouts and I'll make an adaptor?
Many thanks, Dane.

dane,
CD changers are the same except for that plug. Options:

1) cut/splice a round connector on the rectangular plug (this is very time consuming)
2) sell this CD changer on ebay and buy the Audi version...on ebay. You should break even.

or

3) sell on ebay, and get a Phatbox/MP3 player in it's place. See links below.

In my opinion, I would skip option 1...unless you have time to research the pinouts info etc. Everyone on audiworld that has had this same question...has gone with option 2 or 3.

Good luck!

TeddyBGame
Thanks for the advice. I shall go the PhatBox route. Was thinking about it before but thought there might be a quick connector to let me use the changer. So I get the PhatBox after all!
Regards, Dane.
