Default Daylight Running LIghts on 2001 Alroad

Hi there everyone

I'm new here and was wondering if anyone could help me with their expertise. I have just moved to Canada and they require daylight running lights on cars. I own a 2001 Audi Alroad. Of course the US model does not have daylight runnning lights. Is it possible to modify my car either electronically or with some miracle of computer programing to enable this feature?

If I can't I will have to take my car back to the US and not be able to import it..:-( I will be very sad indeed.

Thanks for any assistance!

Paula

in canada, the DRL's are a seperate bulb in the housing....that you won't find in the US housings.

You can either replace the housings (i.e. source E-code housings from Europe etc.) or retrofit. FYI - the A6 housings from a V6 (1998-2001) will fit your allroad.

Search the tech section in audiworld.com. I think Kris Hansen wrote something for the C5 A6/allroad etc that you can probably use.

Feel free to email me if you find something on ebay that you want to buy. I can tell you which versions will fit your allroad.

-Ted
