Determining cubic space within an enclosure

Determining cubic space within an enclosure
Could anyone instruct me on the best way to measure cubic space within an existing enclosure? I have a jl audio stealthbox and i'd like todetermine what the cubic measurements are on each side that houses the 8" subwoofer.
Unfortunately this isn't a simple "box" design, as it contains angles and pockets internally.

For a box like that, you generally have to fill it up with something (sand, packing peanuts, water, etc). Then, pour the "filler" in to something and calculate the volume. You can probably just call JL and ask them, though

If JL won't give you the info, find out what sub they "recommend" for that enclosure. Chances are, the volume is the "optimal" box volume for that sub + displacement volume of the sub. So, if they recommend a 8w3v2, the volume of your box is probably around .41 cubic ft (.375 + .035 )

RE: Determining cubic space within an enclosure
The stealthbox was originally designed, and came with, the jl audio 8IB4 infinite baffle subs. When i bought the box, the guy did not have the 8IB4s, so he gave me a set of Kicker RMB8 infinite baffle which do not fit. So i bought a set of jl audio8W0-4s and put them in instead. They sound 'okay', but they really do not like that box. The 8IB4s are discontinued and are very rare andhard to find.
The box is designed with multiple openings where it mounts against the deck lid, and two large openings right above the subs. So i was thinking about sealing those openings and then finding a set of subs that would be ideal for that space; depending upon what the cubic measurements were.
Don't have a spec sheet for the box, but here is the 8IB4 spec sheet:

What 'box' are you talking about that came with the IB4s? Those subwoofers are designed for "Infinite Baffle" (IB) use. Since that model has been discontinued, I can suggest some other suitable replacements...
