Do i have the right dimensions ?
I am not sure that i have the right dimensions for my box.. but i am not the greatest at geometry so I wanted to see if anyone could back me up on this so i am not making 10 cuts for one side, again and again !
If someone could help me with finding out the cubic feet of this box I need that bad.. to make sure it stays within the .6-.8cf mark. I had a couple people tell me a couple things so i am not exactly sure here.
Also will i have enough room for the sub to fit in and be able to move inside ?
thanks a lot everyone ! I will be making this in the next couple days so i am trying to finish my plans up before i start..

pretty close
Your box is very slightly too big. Based on the illustration you provided, I calculate it to be 1424.5 cubic inches which when divided out (/1728) equals .824 cubic feet. Though I doubt if the small difference in volume would make much of a difference in sound quality. I don't know if your sub will have room to move about inside, as I don't know the dimensions of it. However, if you are looking to cut down on the overall volume of your box, it appears as if the side of the box your sub is sitting on is 14"x14"X11"... maybe you could cut down on the overall width of the box??? (reduce the 14" side down to something like 12") ...the result would be .707 cubic feet... just about what it sounds like you are looking for. Good luck.

Hey i appreciate your help.. I am trying to keep the 14" sides because I am using a 10" sub and I would like 2" on either side of the sub. If you have a plan where i could drop the 16" length to 15 or 15.5" i would be open to that.
What size board were you using.. 3/4" or 5/6"..etc ?
Lastly i have the dimension of the sub.. http://www99.shopping.com/xPF-Alpine-SWR-1041D

I'm very sorry... I misread your illustration when I first calculated the box volume. In any case, I screwed up. Based on your illustration the box volume would actually be .980 cubic feet, if the long side was reduced down to 15 inches, I believe the volume would be .891 cubic feet and if it was reduced all the way down to 14" the volume would be .802. The calculations I made didn't take into consideration the board thickness, though given the thickness of the wood, a 15 inch box should bring the volume right down about where you want it.

if you were to reduce the size you would only have to reduce the top and the bottom... I didn't change any of your angles in my calculation. The way I calculated what I did was by reducing the top (6") edge down to 5", then 4".

well nevermind here.. i appreciate it but i forgot to take into count the 7" depth of the sub and 3" of room for the sub to move back. If i keep my plan now it will hit the floor of the box.
Any help on figuring out how i can manage a slanted front box and keep in the .8cf ?
THIS SUCKS

I am trying to change the look of the box and I think i might be able to do a box that will hit up but when i am calculating it I am getting a large cf for the box diameter.
I wanted to know since I have a 10" sub with a 7" depth..
1. how many inches do i need surrounding the face of the sub
2. how many inches behind the sub would i need ?
3. If you wanna help me on a way to make this happen..
here is a pic to show my new idea !
