Default Driver door lost power, Windows not working & locking problem , please HELP

I have a 2002 Audi A4 1.8t Quattro and have problems with the windows and central locking, all the doors lock except the drivers door when using the remote and the windows wont work and the interior light wont turn off. Driver door's power is totally dead. anyone know what this could be.

Blue, you are not part of a solution, so you must be part of the problem. Take your lame sarcasm elsewhere.

i bet you there is a short somewhere in your wiring leading from the car to the door.

I had the same problem not 3 months after buying it... i was pissed!

i came on here and read about thye possibility of the wiring deteriorating and cracking.. sure enough i popped my driver's side open and the silicon coating on the wires leading from the car to the door were literally flaking off.

it took some creative wiring but everything was soldered and re-covered with new shrink silicon wrap have not had a problem since then.

Car did not lock via the remote.
drivers side controlls did not work or light up
All other door locks worked and lit up just fine
if i left the dome light on the middle position it would always stay on.
