Twice in last 6 mos the engine power dropped to a max of 12,000 rpm, while driving. So I had to pull off the road at 5 mph. In both cases I waited 5–10 min then turned the ignition and drove off with no problem.
Event # 2, only, was the one I noticed the EPC light, so maybe it showed the first time also.
These events happened with no warning. Everything else works. Whats happening?
Naturally, when this happens I dont see codes, I’m far, far away from a mechanic, and the codes disappear upon turning off the car. Maybe I should buy my own code tester. I could use by myself next time.
