External needs a new partition.....

wtf man, I got over 5,000 songs on there if I re-partition it they all go "bye-bye". Is my only option back them up to disc and do it?

Search for a program called partition magic. It allows you to create a new partition without erasing. Of course, I'd back up anyway...
