I would suggest going aftermarket if your looking at NAV. they opperate better and are easier to use. not to mention its going to be cheaper than a factory unit. if your 99 has the double DIN head unit, i would suggest the Alpine piece. your looking at a price of 1400 to 1800 dollars in most cases.

OEM RNS-E or for the perfect fit a RNS-D
The D is CD based & came in the Euro cars, & the E came out of a A6.

In my other car, I have a kenwood flip out touch screen, & it's sweet also. So if you are single din, that's the way to go.

Sorry im not to fluent with car lingo. What is a "single din"? What is OEM?

Also, Ive heard that the audi standard gps is difficult to use and not good comared to aftermarket ones. Do you like yours? Is it accurate and easy to use?

Start with GOOGLE & WINKI

Singe din is the smaller radio size that most early Audi's have, the pic is a double din.

OEM, Original Equipment Manufacture. Means it's a stock, part from Audi or the people who made it for Audi.

The E & D are very easy to use, and of course they are accurate.

That is a nice set up. I was looking at the nav system with the pop out screen for the one din slot.

I like the look of your setup.

Yes, it has all kinds of "places" in there, they call them POI (points of intrest)
Every nav unit should have them.

A lot of companies sell nav, in both single & doubble din. Check your local radio store.

I'll help you & answer questions, but I'm not going to hold your hand. Go to http://google.com & do your own research.
