I'm trying to find out what i would need and/or if this works.....

I'm looking to get a pioneer avh-p3100DVD double din head unit. I've seen pics of people's cars so i know it fits, even though they say it doesn't.

The question is...Do i need the pioneer brackets? Or can i just use the Metra faceplate kit? Also, will the standard wire harness work for this?

I have an 04 A4, non bose, non nav.
