Ipod in Audi A3 07
Hi there, I have just purchased a new Audi A3 2007. It is lovely. I switched the head unit for the new satelite navigation one which is great! I also have the factory spec, ipod holder and glovebox adapter fitted.
Just wondering though, The track only comes up as a number through the ipod, is there any way of it showing a name instead?
Cheers, Ben

I have been investigating the options for adding an iPod to my stock head unit in my '07 A3 as well. Every option that I've found (Dice, Dension, Audi) will not show any tag info on the head unit. The unit basically sees the iPod as a CD changer, so you have to make 5 playlists to listen to in the car and it appears as a really long CD, track numbers only. Pretty weak, huh?
I agree, it's lame in deed. The worst part is that all the incoming 2009 S4s are having this type of "integration." It seems the best bet is just to make a bunch of playlists on SD cards for behind the NAV screen. That will give you song name, artist name, and all that info. The only true integration is on the MMI found in the A6/Q7/A8...for the lesser Audis, it's just week!
