Mid-length story shorter, got a car diagnostics, read as follows:

Scanned for codes, unable to communicate with ECM in vehicle specific mode. Can communicate with brake module (no codes) and instrument cluter (01314-ECM No communication). Checked the ECM fuses, okay. We are able to communicate with the global side of the ECM and found a P0421 Stored (meaning my pre-cat on passenger side is going bad, already known). No idea what the ECM code is other than they tried various instruments they have at the garage without any luck of communications.

Granted it wasn't an Audi or Euro-Only garage, which makes me more nervous? Ideas or previous experiences? I really don't wanna replace an ECM, don't have any other drivability or visable gauge/dummy lights on...

Are you using an after market head unit? This sometimes causes problems with the OBD II port.
