Massive MP3 storage?
I've got a 2001 A4 and well more than 80gb of music. Does anyone have suggestions on how I might be able to bring my music along without relying on an iPod? I'm not that technical but I know that iPods are little computers with little hard drives. How hard would it be to take a large hard drive full of music, place it in an enclosure, attach some sort of computer (is chipset the word here?), and run it in my car? Either installed where the CD Changer is, under the seat, or even just on the seat as a brick-sized "portable" unit.
Basically, I'm frustrated with using the iPod and FM Transmitter - too much static. I was looking into solutions and thought, why not take this the whole way!

they make computers that are made for your car (they have a little LCD screen and it all mounts out of sight). this is your best bet cuz it looks profesional and you can easily expand your hard drive size. btw where did you get over 80 gigs of music, cuz i have seen some rediculous amounts but those guys got it all from friends.
I came across this when I was looking for something similar.

It basically allows you to connect a hard drive or mp3 player with USB connectionto your stereo.
