MMI Broken
Hello, I am new to the forum.
I have a 2023 Q5 and unfortunately during some moving the MMI touchscreen got snapped forward. The screen has gone black and no longer works, but at night seems to still glow and adjust accordingly with the dimmer. The metal bracket that holds it broke. The dealer estimated about $3500, on ebay I can find the right screen for around $500-$1000. Having trouble finding any videos or instructions on the removal, also concerned after replacing if it needs to be programmed. Please any advice on how to fix this, or do I need to just take it to the dealer? Thanks!
