new coil pack still no fire to number one

Default new coil pack still no fire to number one

Hi I recently developed a mis in my whole1998 audi a4 1.8t quattro their seems to be no singnal to the pack am hoping it's not the ecu

could be the ICM. It's a small little flat thing mounted on the top of the air box with an electrical connector attached to each side. Looks something like this...


Usually you will get a CEL saying random multiple misfires and cylinder 2 misfire with this issue.

Could also be a bad wire, spark plug, etc.

Ok ill check that But the coil back its self is not fire firing can this cause that No spark is being generated like its not signaling to fire. I was told it could be be the ecu but i hope not. ill research this alittle first.

Hi it's definitely the component on the air box, it provides the power supply to the coil pack.
