Default New here & REALLY need some help PLZ!

Hey, how’s it going everyone? I am hoping that i am posting this in the correct forum, I’m just really stuck and i could use some advice from anyone that can help.

I just bought a 2015 Audi A3 2.0L turbo Convertible (CNTC TFSi engine) 95k miles. I’m having an issue with it, and i’d like to pick your brain, if that’s ok.

When i bought the car, i actually drove from MA to PA to purchase it… the car had a rebuilt title, as there was a flooding issue. Car looks and runs great when i pick it up. The seller told me that the motor mounts are the only thing that needs replacing. I do allot of work myself, but this is way too much for me to handle alone. My best friend is a great mechanic, and will help me get this done, i just need to figure out what the problem is.

I got home, drove the car for a couple weeks with no issues. I put in new spark plugs (exact OEM), coils (bought off Amazon). I put an octane booster in a full tank of gas. Drove the car for a week or so. Then, suddenly, as I’m pulling into the gas station, the EPC light comes on, and i lose acceleration and i park. Then the engine shakes a bit when on idle. I scan it with my scan tool, and there’s a misfire in cylinder 1. I limp on home, luckily i was close. I swap out the new coil and new spark plug, to see if that’s the issue. Still misfire after clearing codes.

I call my buddy, who comes over with his fancy tablet scanner tools (he’s got a couple from the repair garage he owns) and checks things out, there’s a few other codes that only his machine could read, i think one was steering angle sensor cannot initialize code , and a "u112300" databus error value i think.

The last owner also put in an aftermarket backup camera, and didn’t do a great job of putting it in, i guess. My buddy seems to think that the coils that i bought fried some driver in my ECM…

Can you guys maybe just give me your thoughts? Thank you for your time, everyone, i really appreciate it,,, i would just bring the car to a specialist, but I’m a caretaker for my Mom, she has ALS, and money is not abundant at the moment,,, thank you again, Nick
