Default Onboard info LED

I'm looking at purchasing a 2001 A4 1.8T quattro off ebay. It is in Florida and I'min WA state. I'm having an idependent inspector check it out for me before I bid. The dealer says everything works except the "Onboard INFO LED" is not readable. I tried to search this but maybee it goes by a different name in Audi terminology. Anyone know if this is a big red flag or possibly an easy fix. Thanks for any help!

Hopefully soon a new owner of an A4

Hes talking about the instrument cluster. Pretty pricy to repair. Usually at least 400 for parts alone.

yes, the cluster pixels are a common issued for that car. Some dealers will swap it out for you for about $500 with the exchange of the old one. Other than that, it won't impact the mechanics of the car...just the CD/RADio and trip computer display in the cluster.
