Problem with sub install
Hello, I am trying to install a subwoofer to my stock Bose system using a high level to line converter. Since both rear speakers are blown I removed them and ran those wires directly to the converter. The amp is powering up but I am receiving no signal to the amp. Has anybody experienced this problem?

Wrongwrongwrong. The front 2 speakers use NO amp. They are direct connection as the tweeters act like resistors in this case.
The REAR have a single INTERNAL amplifier usually mouted right at the bottom of the left speaker (If this is the 96 B5). Thats where you get your signal from. Also if the speakers blew, meaning the AMP caused it, your stereo is probably long fried in teriyaki sauce by now.

Its a 01 B5 S4. I can see that one of the speakers are ripped and i think the other one is just rattling a little bit. They both receive signal. I still cannot figure it out. I have tried different patch cords. Maybe the line output converter is no good?
