RNS-e PIN Code issue. 15$ to the person that can solve
Long story short, i bought an RNS-e off a kid through forums. This RNS-e is requiring a PIN code to be unlocked.
So typically you can take it to a dealer and he can look up the PIN code via the serial number or the VIN of the car it was originally installed in. Done that 3 times now, the codes dont work.
My problem is that i dont have the VIN of the original car. So they cant look up what PIN was assigned to the car's ECU.
I really need some tech genious's to chime in an help me with this issue. I feel like i have a brick RNS-e sitting here that will never get unlocked.
Even if it cant be unlocked by PIN, theres gotta be someone on here that takes these things apart and reflashes the OS or somethin.
All help is appreciated.

Not sure if this can be posted here. Anyway, the PIN can be read from flash memory, that's soldered to the main PCB board. Even if you have skills to unsolder the chip from the board, you need to send it to somebody who has a programmer and knows where the PIN code is located in the memory dump. It is very difficult to unsolder the chip, and solder it back. The procedure requires very good soldering skills.
I was in similar situation, where I bought the RNS-E on internet auction and the seller did not know the code or VIN. I was able to find someone overseas who could retrieve the code, which worked fine.

I am in the same situation! Do you have the contact info for the guy that help you overseas and if so what did he charge you?

if you go to www.justanswers.com and ask for a code there someone will give it to you... I paid $30 for my code to be retrieved and I got my code an hour later. BTW I have bought my rns-e from ebay without the code.
