Sirius Satellite on 2001 A6
I had the dealer recommended shop hookup sirius satellite on my 2001 a6. The sirius kenwood sat receiver sits on the shelf where the cd changer should go on the vehicle. The way the receiver is rigged, the symphony head unit thinks the satellite receiver is the changer. The controls on the symphony (operate sat) are a little temperamental when in cdc mode (really satellite mode). My issue is when I turn the ignition off while the sat is on, then turn ignition back on, the symphony does not bring sat back up. The screen says something to the effect: "cd 1<" or "cd 1&" Has anyone done this installation, and if so, can you provide some pointers on how to make the sat begin on ignition turn-on? Thanks!

Sounds odd in my 02 A6 I have the CD changer to RCA Connector mod I got from Autotoys.com. I then have the Sirius sat connected directly to that via a mini to RCA cable and the sirius receiver works all the time, sometimes i even plug in my ipod... what happens if you turn your sat on does the radio detect it again?

Yes, the tuner recognizes the sat each time I turn on manually. I'd like to have it recognize the sat each ignition start or when the stereo or ignition is switched to on....I'd like to see exactly what you used - can you provide a web link? Also, is your hookup in the rear where the cd changer is located?
Thanks, Matt
