Default Sirius Satellite Problems in 2004 A8

Hey guys,

I have a 2004 A8 quattro with factory navigation, 6 disk changer, and Sirius Satellite built in.

I am having a problem with the signal. I have a subscription, and the display keeps reading "linking" and then I'll get a few seconds of a song, and it will keep cutting out going back to "linking"

I was thinking it might be an issue with the antenna, but I was wondering if anyone had any similar problems. Would any of you guys know where the antenna hooks up to the tuner or radio, or how to test my signal or something.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks very much

Jason

I had similar problem (with different car altogether) and pushing the antennae connection down firmly to the satellite receiver box did the trick.

Sorry I can't tell you where the receiver is, but any dealer should be able to give you location. Worst case you can trace back from antennae.

Good luck!

reciever in my 05 a4 B6 is in the trunk on the left side. There is a door that opens, then there is a black rectangular piece of plastic, about the size of a single din radio. This is just a cover, pop off with a screwdriver or whatever, and the reciever is right there on a drawer like thing, pull it out, and there are two wires going to it the conectors like twist/push. If they are the least bit loose that is probably your problem. Dont know if it is the same on your cars, but really easy to check if it is.
