Default Speaker Problem 2001 Audi A6

Hey, got a question if anyone can help. I just bought an audi about 3 1/2 months ago. Its a 2001 A6 with 79k miles on it. Nice ride, however ( and hasnt rained much and its always garaged ) if its out in the rain and i turn on the stereo, soon after every speaker starts making disturbing, crackling noises- not at the same time. its been raining 2 days straight here and i went to work yesterday and after i turned the car off the noises continued. i went out to check on it about a half hour later- still making crackling noises. i went to the trunk and pulled out a plug ( im assuming the plug in for the speaker wires that go to the amp or what not ) and the noises stopped.

anybody ever heard of that or know what the problem might be so i can fix it. thanks-

I had the same thing happen to me when I did an amp install in my truck. In my case the ground for the system wasn't making full contact. Maybe rain water is getting past one of the seals on the car and messing with the wiring. Or the other possibility is since it happens even when you turn your car off is that the switchable source in the car isn't switching off when you turn your car off. Sorry thats is about the extent of my electronics knowledge, hope it helps.
