Stereo says SAFE???
So I went to start my s4 the other day and it wouldnt start. Thought it was the battery but later that day it started right up. Could have been the cold weather bc I think my coolant temp sensor is bad. BUT as I was driving I noticed no lights on my dash were working. And all my lights were on...ABS, ESP, etc. So when I got home I shut the car off and back on and all the lights went off on the guages but my stereo just said SAFE. And I have yet to figure out how to get it to work again!! HELP SOMEONE!!

SAFE on stereo
Your stereo system lost power temporararily. You'll need to enter a secret code unique to your system before you'll be able to use it again. Check out the stereo manual that came with the vehical for the specific procedure and code.

I guess I'm in the same boat with some of you guys. I had to change a fuse out (not the radio) and got the SAFE on my Bose Delta radio. I have the code, but no specific instructions on how to enter the code. Any have the procedure? BTW, its a 1997 A6 Avant.

on my 00 A6 u have to press and hold the "P.Scan" button & the button next 2 it (i forget which it is i have to look at my radio) for a few seconds till the number 1000 shows up. Then u put in your code using the 1-4 radio buttons. Then press the same 2 buttons again (P.Scan & the other one) for a few seconds. The radio should turn back on.
P.S. the instructions should be in your manual for the radio (pg. 23 or something).
