Upgrading a 2008 Q7 to iPod Connectivity
Hi all--
I'm brand new to this forum since I just bought my first Audi yesterday. I bought an 2008 Q7, with a CD Changer and no Nav. In the armrest console, there is an additional CD player. I know that's where the iPod connectivity would normally go had it been upgraded at the factory.
So my question is: Can I somehow swap out the additional CD player for an iPod interface that can be controlled from the steering wheel, just like the CD Changer and Sirius are now?
Also, I'm not even sure how to control that additional CD player. On the dash module, it only gives me controls for 6 discs, all of which are loaded in the console CD Changer. I can't seem to find anywhere where I can control that additional CD. When I insert a CD, it's like the additional CD player doesn't even exist.
Any thought on either question?

To activate the armrest CD player, press the CD button again. For iPod connectivity, you may be able to swap the armrest CD player out for something like the Dension gateway.
