What's My Best Option?? Subs & Speakers.
I have a 99.5 A4 with the Bose stereo system and my rear left 6.5" is blown and sounds like ****, plus I'd like to get a sub in there.
First question is do I replace the bose speaker with a new bose speaker? Or do i just buy a new pair of rear 6.5"'s?
And I also want to put a sub in, probably just a 12, whats my best option?
Budget is going to be probably $500-$600.
Thank you in advance for any help!

i vote go aftermarket 6.5s make sure they fit as the way audi designed their speakers is to only accept a few aftermarkets speakers and the back park might need to be modiified. As for the sub the easiest route is tap into the sub in the rear deck with a low output converter. Then run corresponding wires. But if u want to tackle the other route u can pull out the rear panels in the trunk and get access to the stock amp and tap into power their.
Since you need the sub, might as well just get the whole package at once and replace all the speakers. Try this out, see what you find in your price range:

Just input the year, make, model... etc to figure out what polk audio equipment will fit your car. Their stuff is very good quality, I'm waiting to put their stuff in my new A3 in about a month. Good Luck!
