Auxiliary Cooling Fan - PLEASE HELP!
Hi All,
I have a 1998 A4-Quattro. The Auxiliary cooling fan in the hood of my car has some issues. It is a bit loose and starts hitting the front (i believe it is the grill) when it is started, thereby creating a big bad vibrating noise. I took it to a mechanic and he advised me to replace it. The job would cost me $220 for the part + labor + tax.
I don't want to spend too much money on this as it is 10 yrs old. So, I was wondering, if there was a cheap replacement. Also, if i use a non-Audi Aux. cooling fan on my car. Would it work? Of course i have no idea about the specifications. Any help in this regard will be appreciated.
