Default Auxiliary Cooling fan removal 2004 A4 1.8T

I noticed the cooling fan (auxiliary) does not come on with the AC. The primary fan works normally. Some easy troubleshooting found that voltage went to the fan when the AC was turned on, and dropped to zero when turned off. The module is not the issue.

I guess I could use the instruction on cleaning the brushes and commutator before purchasing a new one. I cant however, figure out how to remove the fan from the car.

Can I avoid radiator removal, or avoid removal of the whole dual fan assembly?

Thanks,

Jordan

you need to remove the core support and pop the fan out. its clipped in the core support.

if you look up DIY timing belt it covers how to do this.
