Default Can you remove pinstripes???

Hey can anyone help me with this?? I want to subtly change the exterior of my car by debadging, blacking out grills, and painting lowers. The gold pinstripe looks horrible so any advice?

i would imagine to remove the pinstripes you would use a hair dryer to loosen the glue and peel right off. some goo gone to remove any glue residue.

i would like to remove mine also, right into debadging....

Yeppers, get your mom to lend you her hair dryer and go to town...once your fingers start to burn then it is hot enough. The stripe should come right off....any residue can be removed with some nice compound or a solvent based cleaner. (These are tape stripes right?)

I was wondering the same thing myself. I don't know if I trust myself using a hair dryer, not to mention I don't own a hair dryer. I guess a detail shop has the goods, but who knows what they'd charge.

just FYI.. some pinstripes are painted on.. dont sit there for a half hour cooking your paint.. you can take your car to a detail shop, and they should be able to remove the painted on pinstripes..
