Default How often I should do waxing for my 2012 Audi A6

I bought a 2012 Audi A6 in January 2012 and didn't take it for waxing till now except car wash. I'm new to car stuff. Please help me with the ques i have

1. How often I should do waxing for my car to preserve paint and to keep it new forever?

2. Can I take my car to any car wash center which has waxing service or are there any specific things to look for?

3. What is detailing ? When should my car need this?

4. How can I keep my car interior(leather seats and dash board) new?

If you feel anything important that a new Audi car owner should aware of to keep the car as a new or regarding maintenance,etc..please let me know.

Thanks in advance.

okay lets begin. First off detailing a car is not as simple as it sounds. Check into detailersdomain. there is a plethora of information over there. but for basics i wax my car every 6 to 8 weeks. I clay bar is everytime i wax it. And always wash before wax and use paste wax instead of spray. and u might want in invest into a porter cable polisher. Those make it a whole lot easier.

Of course, the time between waxing depends upon the exposure. Is this car your daily driver, or your secondary car. I've seen car waxes that say, "Once a year wax", but that's BS. I tend to get 4-8 months out of a good wax job. Also, I recommend the Meguire's series of waxing. It's a bit of work, but you can go through their 1-2-3-4 system.
