Question Window tinting - help!

I own a silver 2005 A6 Quattro. In Illinois we just got it legal to 35% all the way around (except the front). What's the best brand of tint out there? I've been hearing a lot about LLUMAR tint. They seem to have a pretty high quality product. Anyone have experience with their tints? I would probably go with the Pinnacle series since they claim that it causes no interference with electronics.

A second question. Can people post some pictures of their tints and the percentage? I want it to have a classy charcoal look where you can still kind of see through it from the exterior without the blacked out limo/gangsta look. I'm thinking about going with a 40% all the way around except on the front.

I run 5% all the way around. I have the (Gansta) look and i dont mind it one bit. It gets over 100 degrees for 4 months out of the year so yea any help from the heat ill take. Llumar is good tint. Make sure its double ply so it wont fade or turn purple. And also make sure your tint carries warranty. Name: aa2121.jpg

That looks nice but I think I want to go a little lighter than that. Probably 35% or 40% all the way around (except front).

What about 3M tint? Do anyone have experience with that over LLUMAR tints?

i have heard good things about 3m. U might search on the internetz to see what the caraudio forums say. Or i think there is even a forum dedicated to tinting. U might want to check into that. They will more info then u can imagine.

I just got mine tinted last week. I went with Formula One Pinnacle Series 35% all around, except the windshield. It looks awesome. Formula One and LLumar are owned by the same company, so I would assume they would be pretty comparable. I know Formula One comes with a lifetime warranty too.

It's dark, but you can still see through it. I wouldn't have gone any darker, even if the law here in AL allowed it. And I definitely notice a difference in the heat that gets through (or doesn't get through)... Pinnacle series is well worth it IMO. You drop all that money on a really nice car... why skimp in other places?

Thanks for the pic. That looks awesome! I think I migration want to go 40%. Could you get me a side shot out in the sun so I can see the tinting a little better?

Here's another side shot for you. You can actually see thru the windows in this one. Good luck.

Thanks! That looks good. I think I will go with the 35% Lunar too. I will post some pics when I get it done.
