i have a 1996 a6 avant my brake pads low warnign light came on whilst away at the weekend i have 100 mile trip to return home and wondered at what point does this light come on and do i need to get the pads done by a garage here or can they wait til i get home to be done by normal garage? i have checked the brake fluid and topped that up but the light has remained on. its and orange/amber light.many thanks for any help.
