Exclamation Can't open passenger door after rain

I think the central locking unit is water logged, but I could be wrong. It sure would be a lot easier to replace if I could only open the passenger door! Any ideas are most welcome. I have a sledge hammer, but it would be messy.

Default Anti-theft activated before rain?

Doing some more checking, the central locking may have activated anti-theft, because I locked the car with my remote, which is now not working, and the rear doors wont open from the inside either- "Safe" mode? It would be a whole lot easier to replace the central locking module if I could open the passenger door.

I don't have a VAG Com- where do I buy one?

Two things, before we go any farther. The first will determine the second:
1) What model/year are you talking about?
2) Your best answers will come from posting in the section that pertains to #1

Tell us that, and I will move this thread to that section, for you, I promise!

You can find the Vag-Com tool HERE: Ross-Tech: Home

Default Thanks

Audi A6 2002 1.8T

I understand that the wire harness gets water in it so the VAg-Com won't read right, so do I need to locate those wires as well?
