'00 A4 2.8 Tachometer Reads Too Fast.
Hi Im new to the forum but I need help. I have a 2000 A4 2.8 quattro and the tachometer reads too fast.
When at idle it seems to be fine but as engine speed increases the tach goes up faster than actual engine speed. So if Im in first I'll accellerate and at 2k itll be reading 3k and at 3k itll read around 4500 and so on. I dont actually get to red line until the tach has gone all the way to 8 grand and sat there for a second. So the tachometer gradually reads too fast.
In the meantime while I wait to get this fixed, does anyone know what MPH I would redline at in each gear?
