00' TT needs new ECU?
Hey folks,
I really need some input and opinions. So the problem has been that my 2000 TT doesnt start when its hot. So I took it to a local garage (not dealer) that specializes in VW, Audi, bmw etc. well apparently its a problem with the ECU not providing constant power to the fuel system. So I'm told the ECU needs to be replaced, and that I basically have 3 options. hes onto a guy that may be able to fix it, I can try and find one used, or have a brand new one installed to the tune of about $1300... which I just can't do.
Wondering what you guys thought, and if I have any more options. Think it could just be reflashed? Please, any help would be greatly appreciated, I just CANT afford to spend $1300 on this right now. no way.
