(1) car was running fine saturday. went to start it sunday, would fire and start, then cut out immediately. as i tried more it got worse. towed it to the shop, still in the shop now, they've checked stuff for 8-9 hours so far. looked into compression and timing. they say its got fire and gas getting to the engine so not a spark or fuel line issue. would love a tip so i can get home for thanksgiving!!

(2) was actually going to take it in monday for a squeaking right front wheel. squeaking stops when i engage the brake so i assume that's a brake pad? shop will probably know what to do but thought i'd put it up while im here.

just a thought but my car has been doing that same thing and i was installing a boost gauge the other day and noticed that 2 of my coil packs were loose, i pushed them back down and it's been running fine. going to order the bolt down kit for them monday. let me know if it helped

 

Make sure the air intake boot does not have a crack in it. This is often overlooked.

maybe there is something wrong with your key...i had that happen where it would start then just die...had to get my key reprogrammed
