Default 05 S4 auto tranny issues

Wondering if anyone has any experience/insights into this.....

My 2005 S4 automatic recently starting acting up. When I take off from a complete stop about 50% of the time the car won't shift out of first. It will just run all the way to redline and never shift. If I slap it over to tiptronic, I can "manually" shift through every gear with no issues. Also seems to be having some torque issues when in drive or s-drive modes as well. The car will sometimes feel like it's only running on 4 cylindars or something til about half way through the rpm range then it kicks in full force........

This all started within the past few weeks and seems to be getting progressively worse. Just to add one more thing to the mix, 1 or 2 times a day when I'm driving, the traction assist and ABS light will come on. As soon as I turn the car off and back on they disappear......

This seems purely an electrical/computer issue since everything is running fine when in tiptronic/manual shift mode. I'm thinking maybe something with the "adaptive learning feature" that the car supposedly has??????

Any thoughts/feedback would be appreciated. Thanks

Default transmission issues

i had the same probblem with my b5 a4 1.8t auto quattro with tip.

check all the vaccuum hoses, look for split ends or melted check valves. i was told by audi i needed a new transmission, plugged in a new check valve and my transmission problems were solved.
