You've probably been through this routine, but here goes....

Did you check the oil level when the engine is at operating temp., and after the engine has been switched off for 2 mins? Turn the ignition on (but don't start the engine) and check the level on the MMI. Even after going through this procedure, mine sometimes needs a second chance to read the correct oil level.

yea man i have been thru the routine a couple times but it says "there is no info about the oil at this time" in the display. its driving me crazy. it only says to add oil immediately on the dash display.
i need a dip stick. it's stupid that these cars rely on switches and sensors for something as important as oil level.

okay so i put yet another half quart in. went for a drive to get it up to temp. park on level ground. wait five minutes. turn on ign. said "no info at this time" on mmi. dash screen in between gauges says add oil again. i left car for an hour and half, came back ran car home and did procedure over. mmi said, no info at this time.....then changed to oil level bar and went from empty to full. then said please drain oil. hahaha what gives? does this happen to anyone else? what did dealer say?
