5sp manual.After hitting 3rd gear and accelerating to over 3500 RPM's car completely shuts down, like you almost shut the key off. I have to back off the gas to resume. Same thing happens in 4th & 5th gears. Car will still accelerate to approx 100MPH but have to watch that I don't doit too quick.
Friend said maybe valve springs getting weak & won't close at high speeds.
Any ideas are greatly appreciated. I've had this car since new.
