I recently bought an audi v8 and have had what i think to be an electrical problem that i cant figure out. My gas gauge, oil pressure and temp gauges speraticaly go on and off. my rear defroster also ocasionaly doesnt work as well. Most of the time my heater works, but ocasionaly when my gauges decide to turn on, my heater turns off. All of these electical problems seem to be related but i have no idea if it is a computer going bad or just a short?

 

I haven't worked on many v8's cause i try to stay away from them but it probably isn't a short,
you either have a bad instrument cluster or you have several different problems, get it diagnosed by the dealer, and even they might be scratching thier heads cause those things are a nightmare.

 

Id make sure the connections are clean and tight, ive had many electrical problems and that was the case.
