Default 1994 Audi 100s had horrible Oil Leak. Newbie Needs HELP!!

Well as a college student; one can understand how we dont have much cash.

I saved up about $1000 and started looking for a cheap car to get me through the winter.

I found a nice 1994 Audi 100s fully loaded for $675 and it ran excellent. Green with tan interior. Heated Seats/ leather the whole 9 yards.

I check it out completely and failed to notice an oil leak. The guy I bought it from said he just put an oil pump in it. I get it home and its puking oil...around 1 quart/10 mins of running. I pull it in garage and rip oil pan/oil filter/ harmonic balancer trying to find oil leak. Behind the balancer I find probably a couple tubes worth of permatex on the engine below and to the right of the balancer... Oh boy. Cracked block? Its below oil sending unit sensor or w/e (oil pressure sensor maybe)
Anywho, i heard that these have 2 oil pans...an upper and a lower. Anyone know if this is true? 2.8l v6.

Please help me out....I really cant afford to replace the motor in this thing.

the most important and smartest thing you can do it take it back to the guy and demand your money back, but about the oil leak where on the engine is it leaking from?
