1994 100s A/C question
Does anyone know if the 1994 100s (non quattro) air conditioner used r134A or the older stuff? The a/c on my car needs a charging, and I don't want to get reemed by the dealship if at all possible.
And another thing...does anyone know where I can find a Bently manual for this car?
Thanks so much.

you can refill a134 yurself and save a bunch of bucks ... get a couple cans of a134 with some kleeners inside (there is coolant refills with all kinds of additives) charge half way or to 3/4 of capacity run it through thouraly and then charge up all the way

The audi conector is not quick plug. So you need to get an adapter.
a full system is about 8oz and 8oz of PAG oil.
use R134a. or equvalent, there is R14 and higher ones that can blend easilly. dont use R12 as its bad.
I charged it my self, without getting air out, and its running okey.
u charge it as car runs and AC on.
my procedure is to put oil first, after that I start to put gas in. about after couple of seconds, it should be enough to start the AC compresor, and the sysetm will start to suck the thing in.
EDIT:
oh, oil use lowest viscosety, like 46 or something. There is 3 of them 46 100 and 150, use lowest. . it has to be PAG.
when fueling put it up side down, couse oil is need in liquid form. It is used as a coolant for parts, and as a sealant.
it should be about 30psi there or so.
