I'm a newbie...be gentle...lol!
I tried using the search feature, but haven't come across my exact issue yet.

My car stalls intermittently. It stalls and then starts back up....Runs for 30 minutes....Then stalls...What the heck? On Monday it completely conked out and I had it towed. The mechanic said the battery was dead he charged it and the car has run fine. However, i know there is something wrong andI don't want it stalling out on me again when my 2 year old is in the car with me.

I'm not auto savvy, but do you think it's the fuel pump or a sensor of some sort?

by stall do you mean that the RPMs will drop and then jump back up and sometimes just cut out. if so this sound alot like the ISV valve

heres the fix, its just a quick pull and clean. i had the same issue. i also did a seafoam treatment and now the car is amazingly well.

well if that it then if most definelty the ISV that clogged with carbon buildup. let us know how it goes.

 

Got the ISV cleaned and unfortunately it ran for a while and as of right now will not crank[:@][&:][8D]

 

2 more thing i can suggest to help you, one is get its scanned autozone may or may not be able to help as your obd1 and everything now is obd2 (more over can system) but if you get it scanned report back any codes, egr vavle may need cleaning i still got a little bumpy idle (maybe +/- 25-50 rpm) but i know i have a FUBAR egr valve that im too lazy to fix right know, other than that the ISV vavle me be shot

I will get it scanned. The repair shop has been unable to get a scan on anything, so hopefully Autozone will. I will attempt to fix after i return from holiday.
