I just recently bought my audi and I now have a feeling there may have been more wrong with the car than he told me. He just replaced the rack and pinion and said it needed to be aligned. well when i took it for an alignment i was told that when he lowered the car he didnt replace everything he was soposed to so i said ok. i then later looked at another audi a4 and realized he didnt even install the tie rod ends correctly. he installed them on the top vs installing them on the bottom. once i put them to the bottom a lot of my problems went away. The specs of the car show it running at the same stats as an acura integra gsr. but my friends 96 integra whips my car really badly. the car doesnt seem to have any pick up until it hits the higher rpms. dont get me wrong its much faster than the ford explorer i had but its really jacked i think. i raced a honda CRV yes the suv and it could keep up with me for the most part . i have replaced the intake filter he had on there and my spark plugs im in the process of replacing the crappy tires he had on there, ive already had 1 blow up when i was driving home from leave. another question i have is where can i find out how many valves my car has im not sure if its 12 or 30. its a 12 valve. all the 2.8 v6 in NA from 1996( earlier actually) to 1998.5 were 172 hp 12v motors.also the 1996 were really heavy car and mine the fastest either. try autocrossing with your friends gsr, he may have at the straight but lets see him do and AWD drift around a corner. sorry i cant help more.
