1998 A4 sticky pedal and Throttle Body issue
I took my TB off the intake this past weekend to give it a good cleaning. However, the pedal still sticks at the top. I do notice, however, that it only feels sticky with the engine running? Is there some sort of pressure acting on the closed throttle that shouldn't be? Obviously there's vacuum from the engine, but I think the throttle still should not feel like it does. Anything else that could cause the sticky pedal?
As many of you know, the TB has a valve actuator, which seems like its been having issues lately. I'll be cruising down the road and get a sudden jerk (like when you take your foot off the gas in a manual car and it jerks). Can the actuator be malfunctioning? The car also bogs at idle and when this happens acceleration from a dead stop suffers. These problems tend to come and go. Meaning, I'll drive the car to work (for example) and it'll be fine, but when I drive home it malfunctions.
