2000 TT remote entry FUBAR
Had my TT in the shop for a few days for 100K maint and the Audi guys didn't have a quick fix for why my remote entry system won't work. My remotes are fine. They said it would take at least 2 hours (at $120/hr) to trouble shoot. Any ideas?

Is that remoteS, as in plurl, that won't work? Or, just the one you left with them when you dropped off teh car that won't work? If it's just teh one you left with THEM, I can tell you what happened, but I'm not surre of the remedy. If you repeatedly push teh remote buttons w/o being in range of the car, the remote will disable itself. I don't recall exactly where I read this, but I do recall reading it on one of the many Audi forums on teh 'net. Maybe you could try doing a search for "remotes," or sunthin, to find how to remedy it. If that IS the case, I don't think they should be charging YOU for them fv<&ing up your remote...
Now, if you're talking about multiple remotes that won't work...

The remotes (2 of mine and one at the dealer) checked out OK - batteries and sending signal. Problem is that they won't lock or unlock the car or unlock the hatch. Pretty sure the dealer has a knowledge base of this kind of stuff, but couldn't find anything. That's when they mentioned 2 hours worth of teardown to start trouble-shooting. I thought a forum somewhere might hit someone that has had this problem b4.
So the central locking module is recieving the signal to open the doors. Is there any voltage output from the module to try and open the doors? Probably not. Sounds like you need a new central locking control module.
