new on here and just want to ask a question, a guy i know is selling his 01 a4 turbo for $6000. He is an audi mechanic and has babied the car to death since new and will even gaurentee it for a year in writing. But the car has 160,000 miles on it, and its below blue book value. Does anybody have any advice on the how well they run at that kind of mileage and how long will it last if maintained, anything would help thanks.

 

Its hard to judge a value of a car through blue book. You need to go on craigs/autotrader to see what they are really going for in your area. Usually people can pick up 1.8t for 4-5k with less miles. I picked up my 00 1.8t for 4k (120k) and there were a couple others for the same price. Audis don't hold there values very much cause of the maintence cost. But they will go into the 200's if they are cared for.

 

Try to get him down to 4K.
