2001 A4 2.4 auto stalling while driving
Hi there,
I recently purchased a second-hand 2001 A4 2.4 V6 auto and was driving it to work this morning when it stalled on me at about 70km/h - a very disconcerting experience given that I lost the power steering and brakes!!
The car started fine but I noticed that after every time I took my foot off the accelerator and braked to come to a stop, the revs dropped below 1000rpm, which is obviously a bit weird.
Does anyone have any idea what kind of problem I could be looking at, and what it will take to fix it? Cost is an obvious issue! The car has a full service history and log books.
Any advice would be much appreciated.

im thinking one of 2 things the torque converter clutch is not disingaging like it should or the valve in the throttle body is closing to much and starving the vehicle of air or your throttle body needs a good cleaning out of the carbon build up just my 2 cents
