My 2001 A4 2.8 Quattro transmission started to slip after having a scheduled 80k maintenance. It happens when the car starts from a stop. Once it gets going, all is fine. Funny thing is that it works in Tiptronic mode. The dealer pulled the pan and showed me lightly cloudy fluid and there were scant powdery looking residue in the bottom of the pan. No chunks or bits. They advised not to change the filter. So they did not and put it back together. They say it needs a re-build or replacement.

I am wondering if it is some sort of control module or something.
